The Guru Poornima Celebrations for 2016 were held on July 31, 2016 at GOVINDAM Community Hall. The decorations and logistics were arranged by GOVINDAM Centre and they did a very good job at it!! Many Thanks to them.
The Highlight of the program was the Felicitation of Mrs. Shraddha Prabhu. The GOVINDAM students Varsha and Shanthi planned it well and took the teacher by surprise. Varsha Presented the Shawl , Shanthi garlanded her while Vainavi and Advik gave their teacher mementos and a bouquet of fresh red roses. All this to a huge round of applause.
Pratham Prabhu was the official compere of the program.

1: Ganeshaay Dhimahi - The Official anthem of our academy was presented by Shanti and her daughter Harshita. WIth the melodious song as the background, Shraddha lit the traditional lamp.
2:ADVIK AND VAINAVI - presented a medley of bhajans Achyutam Keshavam and Om Jai Jagadish Hare.
3:ISHANI,ADVAIDH, VARUN AND ADITYAVEER - presented VAISHNAV JANATO
4:VARSHA, SHANTI - played JAY JAY HE JAGADAMBE MAATA with Shraddha on the Manjira
5: JAMUNA presented Lingashtakam
6: Mother son Pair, Suman and Samarth presented Thumak Chalat Ram Chandra.
7: PRATHAM gave a Harmonium Recital in Raag MALKAUNS
8: REYA presented SAWAR LOON from Lootera 2013
9: DIYA gave a Harmonium Recital in Raag RAAG DES
10: DEVIKA presented GORI TERA GAAV BADA PYARA from Chitchor
11:ARJUN played MATARGASHTI from Tamasha
12: Sarah and Deepta played MAUSAM KE SARGAM KO SUN from KHAMOSHI
13: Lastly, the teacher (Shraddha ) ended the program with Raag Bhairavi based improvisation of 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag'
