Swara Shraddha is the brainchild of Shraddha Islur-Prabhu. The Academy started active operations on November 1, 2011.
The Vision behind this initiative is to reawaken the interest in Hindustani Music. The generations now tend to look at Indian classical music as boring. In actuality Hindustani music is not just limited to long winded Alaaps and sleepy Khayals. There are the fast beat Taranas and the multi rhythmic Drupads. The Chota Bandish is made appealing with fast paced taanas .
But Of course to achieve all these the basics need to be well understood. Hence the need to attend classes with the right Guru.
Swara Shraddha is involved in introducing the novices to basics of Hindustani Music and proceeds to season them to proficient levels. For the ones without much interest in the classical stream there are separate classes in light music.
The Academy has multiple centres wherein teachers are involved in teaching vocal and Keyboard/Harmonium.
- Purva Riviera - First Centre
- Purva Fountainsquare
- Govindam
- Ittina Abha
- Mukundam
- Main Centre - is at Adarsh Palm Retreat , Outer Ring Road.
As on date, we have initiated 154 students in the music stream. It may look like a small number, but Since the academy believes in Quality rather than Quantity, we have very limited number of students in a batch. Thus each student gets a personalized learning experience.
